Counselor (License or Certified)

CERTIFIED SUBSTANCE ABUSE/ADDICTION COUNSELOR

HUGS Recovery Centers is a substance abuse treatment/recovery program located in Atlanta, Ga. We are looking for a Contract Counselor experienced and dedicated licensed CAC II Counselor to be part of our dynamic Team. The chosen counselor will report directly to the Clinical Director and will coordinate workflow with other counselors. The counselor will be responsible for:

INTAKE:
Basic Computer Skills /Conduct patient orientation to the program
Complete psychosocial assessment and treatment plan appropriate to client’s needs and goals

TREATMENT:

·         Schedule and meet with clients for individual and/or group counseling in accordance with individual treatment plan.

·         Document client achievement of goals based on 30-day plans and review with client every 30-days for updates as needed

·         Document all counseling and group notes on the day of session

·         Make referrals as needed for continuity of care

·         Communicate with the program staff team regarding treatment plans and medication management

·         Participate in Bi-monthly Clinical Reviews with Clinical Staff Team

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Be aware and understand all State and Federal laws and regulations regarding HIPPA and Client Confidentiality

·         Conduct group sessions based on client needs identified by treatment plans

·         Report suspicious client activities to the clinical staff team

·         Participate in counselor treatment team and staff meetings

Pay:

·         Commensurate with Experience

Schedule:

·         Monday, Wednesday & Friday Evening (negotiable)

COVID-19 considerations:

·         All clients, visitors, and staff are required to wear masks inside the office, have temperature checks as required when entering, and notify appropriate staff if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.

Experience:

·         Substance Abuse Counseling: 1 year or more

Language:

·         English or bilingual

License/Certification:

·         CAC I/ II Certification, LPC or LCSW (Required)
