Sober living house manager and counselor

Looking for a full time substance abuse counselor with administrative and management experience to manage a small sober living facility with 10 beds. (30 miles East of downtown Atl.) Many of our residents are in Accountability Court Programs ( Drug diversion Court, Veterans Diversion Court, Mental Health Diversion Court) or are recently released from prison and trying to build a new life for themselves sober. We are a 12-step based 501C3 that is completely privately funded. We are very selective in who we accept into our program, but the position still requires a strong mental and emotional constitution to work with a group that can be challenging. Addiction culminates in Jails, Institutions, and death. These men have already fulfilled two of these prophecies. We are here to help them recognize that people do care about them and that there is another way of life that can provide them great opportunity and happiness if they can do the necessary work.

Responsibilities would include initial assessments, helping residents identify their needs, establish goals and help them create and implement a plan to achieve those goals. Residents would be met with individually and as a group regularly. The Position would also involve managing the facility.

. Applicants must be self motivated ,and very passionate about working with addicts/alcoholics.  We are looking for someone who is also interested in helping shape the growth and direction of the organization.

We are looking for a minimum of 5 years related experience, Including administrative experience. A strong network in the metro Atlanta recovery and treatment community is preferred for referral purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year commensurate with experience.
