Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager

Job Description: Athens Area Commencement Center is a Licensed and accredited outpatient ambulatory detox facility seeking a full time Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager. The counselor is responsible for delivering excellent quality direct clinical care for primary clients enrolled in our program. He/She is also responsible for obtaining assessment data from assigned clients, the development and management of the client treatment experience, planning of the treatment modalities and interventions to meet the needs of patients and their families, setting goals of treatment and admission, coordinating the length of stay as related to diagnosis related groups, facilitating communication among all disciplines, evaluating of competency of staff and ensuring quality care, timely affordable patient outcomes and preventing duplication or fragmentation of services.

Education: Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree. Preferably a BSW, MSW. Having a CAC is a plus.

Experience: At least three years direct experience in a Disease Concept based treatment program, or at least five years experience in a Disease Concept based treatment program.

COVID-19 considerations:
The facility takes precautions and provides hand sanitizer in all common areas, the office is wiped down daily by the staff as well as biweekly professional Covid-19 disinfecting services. Masks are encouraged, but not required.
