Description of Duties: The Social Service Tech 2 for the Intensive Outpatient Program will provide effective on-going services that will enhance the individual’s ability to understand their substance use challenges and to develop a lifestyle that promote manageability of co-occurring challenges and recovery. The services will be provided through group and individual services, using evidence-based curriculums. The Social Service Tech 2 will complete the duties through skills training, education and counseling to individuals served, collaborate with community stakeholders or referring agencies, establish treatment plans and ensure individuals are meeting specified goals, and provide clinical documentation to validate progress or identify pertinent information of assigned individuals. Transporting individuals served is a requirement.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, or equivalent. Valid, unrestricted GA Driver’s License. One year experience in a social services related position. Must be computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with adults with co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use challenges. One year of experience in a social services related position. Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) Credential.
Agency is an eligible work site for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
