The Emory Addiction Center, as part of the Addiction Alliance of Georgia, is hiring an Addiction Counselor to provide group therapy and individual counseling that integrates mental health treatment with addiction recovery within a 12-Step, abstinence-oriented model.
Qualified candidates will:
- Be proficient in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, & principles of recovery management.
- Have completed a certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent
- Be independently licensed (or be eligible for independent licensure within 6 months of hire date)
- Have two years of experience providing counseling in addiction treatment services
- Be two years free from substance use problems
