DESCRIPTION
The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) helps individuals learn how to manage life issues and day-to- day living without the use of mood- or mind-altering substances or drugs. Program services promote recovery, self-sufficiency, development of support networks and other important life skills to enhance mental health and reduce the risk of needing inpatient treatment.
Highland Rivers Health is seeking an Addictive Diseases Counselor for the Paulding Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program.
Responsibilities include:
Performs direct consumer care as outlined in the HR Policy/Procedure Manual.
Conduct intake assessments on new consumer.
Answers phones.
Performs various administrative, clerical and documentation to support unit activities.
Provide transportation as needed.
Performs drug screens no less than 2x per month.
Facilitate group counseling, group training, individual and family groups.
Maintain assigned caseload.
Perform case management duties such as responds to subpoenas, maintain contact with referral source and collateral contacts.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in helping field
CAC/CADCI
At least 1 year experience working in Mental Health or Substance Use disorder field
Preferred:
CACII, MAC, LAPC, LPC
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME
