Entry Level Position great for limited experience and/or CADC I or Trainee

New Day Treatment Center (NDTC) is an accredited methadone treatment center dedicated to helping individuals with prescription drug abuse and opiate addiction regain control of their lives. NDTC is seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team!

Responsibilities:
Completing biopsychosocial assessments, Individualized Treatment Plans, progress notes, and other necessary paperwork associated with managing a caseload of 50 patients.
Providing individual and group counseling using Evidence-Based Practice techniques.
Assisting patients with defining and achieving realistic goals.
Providing crisis interventions as needed.
Assisting in peer-to-peer record audits.
Ensuring compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 &164 (HIPAA)
Providing supportive counseling in conjunction with Medical and Nursing Services.
Contributing to the ongoing assessment and treatment planning process through participation in daily reports, case reviews, and treatment team meetings.
Ensure compliance with all Local, State, Federal, and NDTC rules and regulations.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
Experience treating opiate-addicted patients
Experience in conflict resolution
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication and have excellent customer service skill

Requirements:
​​​Must have a valid ID and pass a background check and drug screen. No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program. Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
